Audio to sheet music converter2/8/2024 ![]() Automatic Transcription: AnthemScore uses advanced algorithms to automatically transcribe the audio file into a music sheet. This means that users can convert almost any audio recording into a music sheet. Why they did it on the web but not in the desktop is beyond me. Key Features: Audio File Import: AnthemScore allows users to import a wide range of audio files, including MP3, WAV, and MIDI formats. Musescore could give us the solution if they would add the feature of linking an audio file to the sheet music. I tried upgraded versions of Flat and Soundslice but both had interface issues but some other features were promising if they fix their shortcomings. The goal of OMR is to teach the computer to read and interpret sheet music and produce a machine-readable version of the written music score. According to Wikipedia, OMR is a field of research that investigates how to computationally read music notation in documents. Musescore web has a good interface to sync the audio to the measures but you can't play the audio and the midi at the same time. One area of interest is Optical Music Recognition (OMR). Tools like AnthemScore, MuseScore, and AudioScore Ultimate specialize in this process. All the other programs either play the audio or the midi so it is a nightmare to check you work if you have a poor ear and little sense of rhythm. Is there a program that Converts audio to sheet music Yes, there are several programs designed to convert audio to sheet music. If Anthemscore had an on screen interface like Musescore it would be a great solution as that is the only solution I found that plays the midi simultaneously with the audio. One better quality audio files with clear melody Anthemscore comes close. Go back and forth many times until I get the chords in the proper measures. Especially considering all the different noise going on with guitar chords vocal and violin it would be a hard problem to say isolate the violin and convert to a score. Then I upload the musescore file to the web and link the youtube and sync the audio to the musescore web file. As to the question about a site or app that can convert music like that to sheet music, I am pretty sure that unfortunately technology does not exist yet. ![]() I then export the mp3 using a video editing software to Youtube. I do have the chords so the best I can do, since I have poor music skills, is running the file through Anthemscore, exporting it to Musescore and then deleteting all the notes just to get the key and the proper number of measures. I have poor quality recording to work with so none of the programs that claim to transcribe do very well.
